Can you remove your particulate filter ?
No. Removing a DPF is a crime and you would be fine.

owning a car or van without a DPF fitted. you can be fine and It could also invalidate your insurance policy.
Dpf cleaning

A diesel particulate filter (DPF) can become blocked for a number of reasons.

Low fuel level: Running the car frequently on a low fuel level can cause the car to avoid DPF regeneration to save fuel.

Short journeys: If the engine doesn't reach its optimal operating temperature, the DPF doesn't have a chance to burn off soot.

Poor maintenance: A poorly serviced car may fail sooner than a well-maintained one
Incorrect oil: Some oils contain additives that can block filters.
Faulty parts: A faulty fuel injector, clogged EGR valve, or turbocharger failure can cause a DPF to block.
Low-quality fuel: Using low-quality fuel can damage a DPF.

A blocked DPF can cause severe damage to your engine, including weakened acceleration, increased fuel consumption, and the risk of leaks
How to fix a blocked particulate filter
The simplest way to sort out a blocked DPF is driving on a motorway and sustained speed for 30 to 50 minutes to allow your exhaust temperature to reach the point where it can cleanly burn off the excess soot.
This option is not always possible, so there is also ‘active regeneration’, where additional fuel is injected automatically, by the vehicle’s ECU, when the filter reaches a defined limit to try and increase the temperature to burn off the soot. You can tell when the regeneration is taking place by the following:
-
Change of engine note
-
Cooling fans active
-
Increase in fuel consumption
-
Increase in idling speed
-
Acrid smell from the exhaust
